Impact of Degrees of Service on Alumni Career Development

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a survey that assessed the long term impact of varying degrees of  service on alumni employment and attitudes toward careers. Alumni with service-learning and other service experiences (SL plus group) felt it was important to work to correct inequalities, to provide a service to others, to make a difference in the community, and agreed that their service, academic and social experiences affected their career development.
