Alicia Hibbert, Fay Fletcher, Brent Hammer

Abstract

The authors present the impact of the Métis Settlements Life Skills Journey facilitator training program. It was hypothesized that participation in the program and employment as camp facilitators would have a positive impact on their individual resilience. The program and employment were designed to increase participant knowledge in key areas of resilience and skills to engage children in learning through play. Data collection and analysis evolved in order to measure individual and community resilience.
