  2. On the Toolbox page, click My Page Toolbox from the subcategory listing on the left.

  3. On the My Page Toolbox page, select the Edit button next to the tool you want to edit.

You can test your edited tool on the My Page Toolbox to make sure it functions properly.

Editing Permissions

The Permissions button is found next to every tool on the My Page Toolbox page. Changing permissions determines who is allowed to view and use the selected basic tool.

  1. Click the button next to the tool on which you would like to change permissions.

  2. If you want to change the owner of the page, click Change Owner on the right-hand side of the page. Otherwise, skip to Step 3.

    1. On the Changing Owner form, enter enough information to search for the person to which you want to assign ownership. A list of matching names is returned.

    2. From the list of names, select the person to whom you want to assign membership and click Save.

  3. On the Editing Permissions form, under the Minimum Permissions section, select a level of permission for each of the drop-down boxes:

The above permissions offer one of several options to choose from:

Public Access Everyone can view/use the page. This includes visitors to the page who cannot log in.
Logged In Restricts use to registered users of the site who are logged in.
Owner Restricts use to the owner of the page.
Admin Restricts use of the page to administrator-level users.
  4.

  5. In the Add a Group box, select any groups from the Group drop-down box to which you want to give permission. For more information on groups, see My Groups

  6. If you want to give a specific person permission to the tool, enter enough information in the search fields and click Search. If you want to list all available users, put an asterisk (*) in one of the search fields and click Search.

  7. From the list of names returned on the search, select the person to whom you want to give permission to view and use the tool; you can select more than one person at a time. Click the Save button.

  8. After changing all the required information on the Editing Permissions form, click the Save Changes button.

Cutting, Deleting, and Changing Tool Order

Cutting, deleting, and changing tool order changes where the tool is displayed, or if it is displayed at all.

Cutting a Basic Tool

Cutting a basic tool removes the tool from the My Page Toolbox and puts it in a clipboard for pasting on another page. The tool will no longer be available for display on a user's My Page.

  1. Click the button next to the item you wish to place in your clipboard at the bottom of the page.

  2. Go to the page where you want to place the information and select the item from your clipboard; click the Paste button. This places it on the page in the correct text area.

Deleting a Basic Tool

Deleting a basic tool from the My Page Toolbox makes it unavailable to your users.

  1. Click the button next to the tool you want to delete.

  2. On the confirmation page, if you want to delete the tool, click Yes. If you do not want to delete the tool, click No.

On the My Page Toolbox, you will no longer see the tool and it will not be available on users' My Page.

Changing Basic Tool Order

Items with Up and Down arrow buttons () can change item order on the My Page Toolbox page. Click the Up or Down button to move the selected item. This does not affect a user's My Page configuration options.
